UvA ILLC

I’m an Assistant Professor for Model-based AI at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam. My main research focus is planning using symbolic techniques (propositional logic, BDDs). In particular, I am interested in planning formalisms that can express expert knowledge, like Hierarchical Task (HTN) Planning, and planning for large-scale planning problems. I’m also interested in the computational complexity of planning and formal measures for the expressiveness of planning problems. Lastly, I am interested in the interaction of AI and the Law and legal science in general.
